In addition to political history, among the subjects of his interest are customs and rituals of different ethnic groups, which contain significant historical data.In his work called Moruj al-Zahb and Ma'aden al-Jawhar, he presents a report of the language of the Chinese emperor’s tongue regarding the Sassanids, which to review and evaluate it, is the main issue of the present research. The results of the research show that Masoudi's report is reliable from a historical point of view and it can be the outcome of the positive assessment of the Chinese of the Tang Empire period towards the Sasanians and the economic, political and cultural strength of the Iranians of this era. علی‌بن‌حسین مسعودی از مورخان سده‌های نخستین اسلامی است که در آثار خود تلاش کرده است تاریخ منظمی از جهان را تا زمان خویش گرد آورد. افزون‌بر تاریخ سیاسی از جمله مباحث موردتوجه او رسوم و آیین‌های اقوام مختلف است که داده‌های تاریخی قابل‌توجهی را دربردارد. وی در اثر خود موسوم به <em>مروج</em><em> </em><em>‌الذهب و معادن</em><em> </em><em>الجوهر</em> گزارشی از زبان امپراتور چین درخصوص ساسانیان ارائه می‌دهد که بررسی و سنجش آن مسئلة اصلی پژوهش حاضر است. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد گزارش مسعودی از نقطه‌نظر تاریخی موثق است و می‌تواند حاصل نگاه مثبت چینیان دورۀ امپراتوری تانگ به ساسانیان و توان اقتصادی، سیاسی و فرهنگی ایرانیان این عصر باشد. https://www.chistorys.ir/article_202824_29a62446b7883b1840cd85bd79091e44.pdf
