These organizations, in some cases, have originated in previous governments and Achaemenids had revolved them. Army units of Achaemenids are amongst these matters that somehow have originated in Ancient East and the aim of this article is to make clear the duty of Immortal Army based on works of ancient and contemporary writers and archeological documents while analyzing that whether the name Herodotus have imputed to them and have been rejected by some of the writers is correct or not. Beside these sources, linguistic references have been used also for better conclusion.   یکی از علل موفقیت هخامنشیان در جنگ‌ها و اداره مملکت، نوآوری و سازماندهی‌ دقیقی بود که در زمینه اداری و نظامی به کار بردند. البته، در برخی موارد، این تشکیلات ریشه در دولت‌های پیش از آنان داشت که در این وام‌گیری‌ها تحولاتی ایجاد کرده بودند. واحدهای سپاهی هخامنشیان نیز از جمله مواردی است که تا انداره‌ای ریشه در شرق باستان دارد و در این مقاله، تلاش بر این است بر پایه نوشته‌های نویسندگان دوره باستان، معاصر و اسناد باستان‌شناسی، خویشکاری سپاه جاویدان را ریشه‌یابی نماییم و همچنین صحت و سقم نامی که هرودوت برای آنان ذکر کرده و از سوی برخی نویسندگان رد شده، مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. علاوه بر منابع ذکر شده، برای نتیجه‌گیری بهتر، از منابع زبانشناسی نیز استفاده شده است. https://www.chistorys.ir/article_205027_08aa7a74f9caa9175ca1e764e91065ed.pdf
