Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Review

1- This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
To facilitate this, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity. To help with this preparation please ensure the following when submitting to "The Journal of  Cultural History Studies”

Peer Review Process in "The Journal of  Cultural History Studies”

  1. Manuscripts are registered by the corresponding author on the journal’s submission system, including full author information, manuscript upload according to the journal format, and submission of the declaration and conflict of interest forms.

  2. Preliminary evaluation by the Editor and Editorial Board; if necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the author for structural revisions or referred to a subject editor.

  3. The manuscript is sent to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field for evaluation, with a 15-day review period.

  4. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and submit their reports along with the completed evaluation forms. Possible outcomes at this stage:

    • a. If both reviewers recommend rejection, the manuscript is removed from the review process and the author is notified.

    • b. If at least two reviewers request revisions, the manuscript is returned to the author for correction.

    • c. If reviewers fail to complete the review in the given time, the manuscript is sent to new reviewers, and the review period is extended.

    • d. If one reviewer rejects and the other accepts, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer.

  5. Authors submit the revised manuscript along with responses to reviewers’ comments within two weeks.

  6. The revised manuscript is sent to the final evaluator to verify that all reviewer comments have been addressed.

  7. Reviewers provide the final recommendation on acceptance or rejection.

  8. The Editorial Board reviews the peer review process and any revisions.
