Introducing Hovanes Bible Manuscript (with an Indication on Visual Analyzing Illustrations and Introducing the Vaspuhran School)

Abstract
Manuscripts are valuable in Armenian culture and book designing and miniature are amongst preeminent arts of Armenians. Hovanes Bible belongs to the second half of the 14th century which is conserved in the Museum of Khachatur Kesaratsi, is the distinctive sample of a method in Armenian miniature that has been created in Vaspurakan School. As most of the research on Armenian art is focused on Armenian architecture and murals in Isfahan, the Armenian miniature – as one of the distinctive arts of Armenians- is unknown in Iran. This academic research choose a standard sample of this school and analyze five of its miniatures in a descriptive-analytical method and is going to answer these question: Which historical and cultural elements had pave the way for the emergence of Vaspurakan School in 13th and 14th centuries? Which characteristics of Vaspurakan School are obvious in Hovanes Bible?
